She thrives off having no specific routine and by working for herself and being her own #boss she has made that lifestyle possible. An irregular schedule keeps life exciting for her and is one of the factors she cherishes most about being a creative and entrepreneur. Photography has also taken her many unexpected places and introduced her to some of, “the most charming people” (she promises she isn’t being bias).

Rachel started her own business when she was homeschooling her two children, her oldest is now in school. She appreciates the opportunity her schedule allows her to be able to engage in their education and volunteer at the school.

JUST START. She shares a secret with all the future entrepreneurs, “the truth is that, at square one, no entrepreneur knew exactly what they were getting themselves into and the timing will NEVER be right.” She follows this up with the encouragement that you (the entrepreneur) have to make it the right time.

With quick feet Rachel handles life’s obstacles. She describes herself to be someone who handles challenges head on. She’s also a quick thinker and doesn’t like to sit with problems too long. The goal for Rachel, when facing challenges, is to make sure the situation is handled in a timely manner if possible.

To date, her proudest accomplishment, is her children being able to witness her first hand turn her dream into a profit. Her experiences and the list she could create composed of the people and brands she’s worked with, “cannot compare” to Rachel’s opportunity to share her journey with her children, both her personal and work centered.

She touches on purpose, explaining that we often center purpose around grandiosity understand it to be the holy grail of purpose. However, Rachel encourages the idea that our purpose can be awe-inspiring and/or microscopic. What should be remembered is that, “a microscopic calling doesn't equate with inadequacy!”

Looking ahead, Rachel is striving for simpler living. She is currently reading "Chasing Slow" by Erin Loechner, which has revealed to her that “more” is immeasurable.” She views the constant chase of more to be senseless and even traumatic. In the future, and starting now, she wants to live a life as easy-going as possible while taking good care of her mind and spirit.
