W(O)W: Elizabeth Waits x fab'rik Baton Rouge
fab’rik: a place where everyone can afford to feel beautiful, which means high style with heart, no attitude or sticker shock!
Elizabeth Waits is an Ohio native who now calls the bayou home. She was raised outside of Dayton, Ohio. She’s been in retail management since her years in college and before discovering fab’rik she had never entertained the idea of having her own store. She would shop at fab’rik occasionally when she would travel out-of-town and eventually decided to research the franchise opportunities with fab’rik.
There was no denying that fab’rik was the perfect match for her and once she realized this Elizabeth instantly began dreaming big. Her husband was supportive of these newly inspired passions and goals. After two years, she was able to touch the walls of her own store that is now open at Highland Marketplace. Her store officially opened in June of 2020 in the middle of a pandemic (#bossmoves)!
Her dreams for the future include using their non-profit, free fab’rik, to make a positive and intentional impact on the community and build a dream boutique in Baton Rouge! When she isn’t dreaming big or opening stores, you can find Elizabeth working out at Reform fitness, hanging out with friends, or reading a good book.
She believes you can never have enough black in your closet! She loves the customer interaction she engages in daily and enjoys being able to be a part of someone’s life, no matter how big or small.
Through her work Elizabeth also has the joy of watching others smile, fall in love with themselves and find fresh confidence after shopping with fab’rik.
Elizabeth is passionate about her work, but family always comes first. Her husband, Kyle, and her dogs, Bailey and Max, are the main characters in her world.
The women in her family have been amongst some of the most empowering people in her life. They taught her that anything is possible and that she has the power to be whoever she wants to be while reminding her that hard work is necessary.
