Ashley Lawrence, an Eastern Kentucky University senior, created face masks that provide necessary assistance for Deaf and hard of hearing people, who may read lips or speak American Sign Language (wow!). She is currently studying education for the deaf and hard of hearing while learning from home along with the other college students across America. She started this as a at home DIY project, which has now received national attention, along with her mom in their home with hopes of helping a population that was being overlooked.
