Irene Lewis, this name might be familiar because we gave her a shoutout in our stress inspired blog on April 16th. She is the creator of Simply Sereniti, which is a platform created to empower women of color by giving them the necessary tools and resources concerning productivity, personal development and adulting!

Irene is a graduating Senior at Southern University and A&M College and currently studying Agricultural Sciences. She is full of energy and passion, when she is not working you can find her cooking and/or watching reruns of Scandal. She loves to hang with her fam, friends, and her dogs. She also knows how to play piano and hopes to learn to play violin.

As she looks toward the future, Irene would like to have, “multiple businesses focused on empowering minority groups in different capacities (women, people of color) and travel the world.” She appreciates the privilege that Simply Sereniti offers her, which is the opportunity to witness her resources encourage people like her. She enjoys watching people take away tangible tools and resources that can help them become their better selves.

As an entrepreneur and creative, Irene appreciates the opportunity to watch her message and purpose become clearer. She shares how she is able to see clearly now, more than ever, why she is, “so passionate about empowering women of color.” To others who are contemplating taking the first step she says, “Just start.” Do not become worried about having every detail together before stepping out. This is a journey, and along the way you will learn more than what you would in the pre-launching phase.

For Irene, purpose is something that lights up your soul and adds value to other people’s lives. She has been led by her compassionate and introspective mind and heart, and she doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon!
