VOTE. VOTE. VOTE.

“One thing I believe profoundly: We make our own history. The course of history is directed by the choices we make and our choices grow out of the ideas, the beliefs, the values, the dreams of the people.”

—Eleanor Roosevelt, American political figure, diplomat and activist

A Power Pump Girl is unafraid to start conversation, she takes action about things that matter and she desires to be a part of something that is bigger than herself. This year, 2020, has been a prime opportunity for every PPG to #stepup and take action, but the year isn’t over and there is still work to be done!

The presidential election is November 4th, 2020, and early voting in Louisiana ends on October 27, 2020 (tomorrow!!). PPG partnered with Grayson and Katie Grossbard in order to encourage voting participation and educate the community about voting. Grayson, “is founded on the undeniable truth: Women are f#*cking superheroes” (PERIODT), and so are #voters!

We’re excited to see the PPG community #represent and hit the polls (tag us in your #onlyhangwithvoters T-shirts!). We don’t only vote for ourselves, we vote in honor of those who paved the way and risked it all for us to be here in this moment and time. We have the power and the opportunity to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. We vote for the present, future, and the world we are trying to build. You matter, your voice matters and your vote matters!

PPG supports efforts that are meaningful and measurable, which includes period equity, women rights, education and civic engagement. Through voting we are able to use our power to influence change in the areas that matter to us.
