Lakenda, also known as Kenda, is the founder of Krafty Kravingz, which began as a passion project and was founded in 2019. Krafty Kravingz is based upon the mission of empowering others through creativity, conversation and encouragement. Kenda shares, you can’t pour into your family on empty and how, as a proud mother of two and wife of an outstanding husband, she began to search for a new journey and arrived at what is now Krafty Kravingz.
Krafty Kravings has given Kenda the opportunity to meet other individuals, such as community leaders and business owners, who have inspired her and significantly influenced her becoming the woman she is today. Through her #hustler journey, she has been able to uniquely connect with herself, fulfill her purpose while being a faithful servant and connect and inspire women in her life.

Krafty Kravingz believes in a #messagebehindthemerch and strives to create products that supports and inspires their fellow mothers, girl bosses and young women. Krafty Kravingz wants all to enter their space welcomed and leave inspired.
Kenda is a God fearing #hustler and #girlboss. She is a two time graduate from Southern University School of Nursing (her favorite HBCU), where she received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing. Fun fact: She initially went to college to be a journalist and Mass Communication was her initial major, she wanted to travel the world, meet celebs and write in magazines about them!
Helping people is what Kenda is about! She’s certified by the American academy of nurse practitioners and has been in the profession for about 11 years. Through her journey she has truly learned about the value of life.
Knowing that she can use something as simple as kindness to change someone’s life is enough to get Kenda up in the morning. If she’s not working you can most likely find her spending time with her family. Between being a wife to her loving husband and mom to her children, she stays busy even outside of work. Kenda strives to be intentional and present for her family, which includes participating and attending events, programs and extra curricular activities.
For Kenda, living in purpose means to pursue something that that God has already planned. She acknowledges that purpose will not always be something discovered immediately, however, knowing her purpose has allowed her to navigate through life more easily. When facing challenges, even while living in purpose, Kenda’s secret weapon is God, Isaiah 54:17 no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD.
Kenda is grateful for the many opportunities Krafy Kravingz has afforded her. She has been able to connect with women, mothers and #girlbosses from all around the world. Through her hustle, she has been able to inspire and encourage other women to live with the powerful knowledge that the impossible is actually possible. She is overwhelmingly grateful to be able to give women the feeling of being a #girlboss despite their occupation, socioeconomic status or race.

Kenda is proud of how she has successfully managed being a working mother (the heart and reason behind her brand) along with accomplishing her goal of graduating college and becoming a nurse practitioner. Looking to the future, she wants to have a a brick and mortar store with a coffee shop inside and apparel/ gifts that represents the mission of her brand filled with women!
My dad always said to me as a child “Dream Big, you can do anything”! I believe that.
