Lend a Hand for the Holidays
Calling all Baton Rouge PPGs! Some friends of ours are hosting their third annual Affinity Nursing Home Christmas Day Pamper Sesh and are in need of local volunteers.
What’s Happening
This group of world-changers round up volunteers every year to give spa manicures to the elderly at Affinity Nursing Home during the holidays. These patients may not have family to visit them, and can often feel alone during Christmas! We’re joining forces to spread some holiday cheer and bring smiles to some deserving faces. In short, you’ll be pampering some patients by giving manicures and playing Santa’s elves, passing out gifts!
How to Get Involved:
Arrive around 8:30 AM to Affinity Nursing Home in Baton Rouge to give manicures to the residents until about 11 AM.
Bring your own manicure essentials: polish, nail clippers, files, nail polish remover, lotion, and bowls to soak in
If you’d like to donate towards purchasing gifts, you can give as little as $15 to help stuff the bags for the patients (36 residents total: 21 male and 15 female)
