Gift of Giving
If you’re like us, you may still be recovering from your turkey day food coma and unwinding from all the Black Friday madness.
We’re now back to the grind and preparing for an epic holiday season, beginning with our Gift of Giving event! You may have seen some teasers on social media, but here, we’re breaking down what to expect of the experience, including introducing our hosts!
POWER PUMP GIRLS, INC., RAINA & SHERIN
If you’re here, you most likely know the two of us, but we’ll say hello anyway! We’re Raina & Sherin – the co-founders of the women’s empowerment non-profit, Power Pump Girls, Inc (PPG). PPG is an org that focuses on collaboration, career and leadership development, mentorship, and funding for students & female-led projects. We execute this mission by presenting workshops for and by millennial women, mentoring local youth, hosting social events (like this one!), and providing
More about us: Sherin is originally from Shreveport, LA and Raina is from Lafayette. We both love shoes, hence, “Power PUMP Girls”, and have a weird obsession with human anatomy and pathology.

BEAUTYCOUNTER & KRISTEN
Kristen Soileau Freeman is a freelance wedding photographer with a passion for people. Kristen has a beautifully unique and insanely talented way of portraying stories through her work…and she has the portfolio and clientele to prove it. You can see more of her photography work here, but she is primarily joining us for Gift of Giving to demo and educate attendees on Beautycounter products. Beautycounter is a beauty and wellness brand that sets the standard on using cruelty and toxic-free ingredients while providing high-quality products. From makeup to cleansers and body scrubs, Beautycounter has is all - and Kristen can tell you all about it on December 5th!

What she loves most about Baton Rouge are the people within the art community and how versatile the city is; “You can enjoy campus life, the downtown scene, artsy mid city, or fields and nature!”

What she loves most about Baton Rouge is the pride that most everyone here has about making this place the best city it can be. “Everywhere around me there are people investing in and bringing beautiful things to our city.” On the 5th, Rebecca will be selling jewelry and textiles made through Hands Producing Hope. Make sure you come out to support this impactful organization with roots right here in BR!
MORE GIRL BOSSES
In true PPG fashion, this event is being put together BY women FOR women. We’re stoked to see all you ladies decked out in your holiday best (or whackiest). We’re also extremely excited to have music artist and jewelry designer, Molly Taylor, joining us to share her talents for the night. Also in queue is our favorite DJ, DJ Kiki Doe, who will be providing the evening’s entertainment.
Also in the night’s lineup are small bites, drinks, a panel discussion, & fun photobooth experience. We want to see you in the mix after work next Wednesday, so save your seat now!
